This week we joined the German Child Protection Association's Fulda District and Local Chapter. In a recent meeting with the board, we were given an insight into many activities for children.
The German Child Protection Association sees itself as a lobby for children and focuses on the needs of children and families based on the UN Convention on the Rights of Children. The quality of its work is ensured through ongoing training and continuing education of its volunteers, based on the principle of "Working together for the future of all children."
Parents' Hotline: For parents who are worried about their child or feel overwhelmed or helpless, specially trained counselors are available to answer questions about parenting, school problems, family crises, addiction, or internet dangers.
All of this is provided by volunteer social workers, educators, and pedagogically trained staff – we are impressed and look forward to more.
